22 अप्रैल, 2020 को संपूर्ण विश्व में ‘विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस’ (World Earth Day) मनाया गया।
वर्ष 2020 में इस दिवस का मुख्य विषय (Theme) -‘‘जलवायु कार्यवाही’’ (Climate Action) है।
उद्देश्य- विश्वभर में प्रजातियों के तेजी से विलुप्त होने पर ध्यान आकर्षित करना है।
संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा इस दिवस को अंतरराष्ट्रीय पृथ्वी मातृ दिवस’ (International Mother Earth Day) के रूप में मनाया गया।
ज्ञातव्य है कि पृथ्वी के संरक्षण हेतु विश्व भर में जागरूकता फैलाने हेतु ‘विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस’ वर्ष 1970 से प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जा रहा है।

World Earth Day was celebrated all over the world on 22 April 2020.
The main theme of this day in the year 2020 is - Climate Action.
Objective - To attract attention to the rapid extinction of species worldwide.
The day was celebrated by the United Nations as International Mother Earth Day.
It is known that 'World Earth Day' is being celebrated every year since 1970 to spread awareness around the world for conservation of the Earth.
