World Sparrow Day-विश्व गौरैया दिवस 20 मार्च, 2020 को संपूर्ण विश्व में ‘विश्व गौरैया दिवस’ (World Sparrow Day) मनाया गया। मुख्य विषय – ‘आई लव स्पैरो’ (I Love Sparrow)। उद्देश्य – संपूर्ण विश्व में गौरैया के संरक्षण के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करना। पहली बार यह दिवस वर्ष 2010 में मनाया गया था। ध्यातव्य है कि गौरैया का जंतु-वैज्ञानिक नाम पासर डोमेस्टिकस (Passer Domesticus) है। यह भारत के केंद्रशासित प्रदेश दिल्ली की राजकीय पक्षी है। World Sparrow Day was observed all over the world on 20 March 2020. Main theme - 'I Love Sparrow'. Objective - To make people aware about the protection of sparrow all over the world. This day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2010. It is important to note that the zoological name of the sparrow is Passer Domesticus. It is the state bird of the Union Territory of India, Delhi.
