World Book and Copyright Day

23 अप्रैल, 2020 को पूरे विश्व में विश्व पुस्तक एवं कॉपीराइट दिवस (World book and Copyright Day) मनाया गया।
इस दिवस को मनाने का उद्देश्य पुस्तकों की शक्ति पहचानना है।
इस वर्ष कुआलालामपुर (मलेशिया) शहर को विश्व पुस्तक राजधानी (World book Capital) चुना गया है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि वर्ष 1995 में फ्रांस की राजधानी पेरिस में आयोजित यूनेस्को की सामान्य सभा में प्रतिवर्ष 23 अप्रैल को इस दिवस को मनाने का फैसला किया गया था।
23 अप्रैल विश्व साहित्य में एक प्रतीकात्मक तिथि है।
क्योंकि 23 अप्रैल, 1616 को ही तीन महान साहित्यकार विलियम शेक्सपियर, मिगुएल डे सेर्वंटेस और इंका गार्सिलासो डेला वेगा का निधन हुआ था।

World Book and Copyright Day was celebrated on 23 April 2020 all over the world.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to recognize the power of books.
This year the city of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) has been chosen as the World Book Capital.
It is noteworthy that in the year 1995, at the UNESCO General Assembly held in Paris, the capital of France, it was decided to celebrate this day every year on 23 April.
23 April is a symbolic date in world literature.
Because on April 23, 1616, three great litterateurs William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso della Vega died.
