Unit- मात्रक- A Unit is a measure,device or a scale in term of which we make physical measurement . मात्रक एक माप,युक्ति अथवा मापक्रम है जिसकी सहायता से हम किसी भौतिक राशि का मापन कर सकते है।   [ भौतिक राशि का मान=संख्यात्मक राशि × मात्रक ] [ Value of Physical Quantity =Numerical quantity × Unit ] Indian Measurement System- भारतीय मापन प्रणाली- Measurement system starts from ancient period, similarly around 2400 years ago during the Chandragupta period there was a well defined system of weights and measures. According to this system, the smallest unit of length was 1 PARMANU . For long distance YOJAN was used.
